“We look at all the things Google has in its archives and we could pack it into a tablet in order to make it a great experience,” said Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam to the Wall Street Journal. Details on a possible timetable or hardware manufacturer gave Verizon Wireless is not known. A Google spokesman refused to comment on this further, but said that in principle everyone could use the Android platform to develop a mobile device. A spokesman for Verizon, however promised later this week for more details about the Android-tablet supply.
Success of the iPad increases the pressure on other manufacturers
Google has announced to work with hardware manufacturers of light computers that run Android. The success of Apple’s iPad’ve let Google’s efforts to increase again, writes the Wall Street Journal. Verizon and Google have also mentioned last year signed an agreement to jointly develop a series of mobile phones with Android.
