Citroen has released the first official images of Lacoste concept that will be exposed to the forthcoming Paris Motor Show. This is a car for leisure, developed according to the minimalist and essential concept that has always characterized the center of the Crocodile. Citroen Lacoste should not be a cosmetic exercise of the Double Chevron because a production version of the car is scheduled for 2012. Looking at the characteristics of the concept Lacoste, it is difficult not to regard the spritual successor of Citroen Méhari.
Like the mythical spiaggine, Citroen Lacoste concept is without a goalie and has a folding windscreen. Moreover, the concept car in question is 345 cm long and is equipped with large wheels and a 3-cylinder engine. In practice, this should be the new family of engines, 1.0 1.0 VTi and THP to be introduced in coming years. Lacoste has affected much in the style of the car, as evidenced by the body in white Nacre is the two-wheel spokes. Finally, the T-shaped roll has a dual role in security, because they incorporate the head airbags.
