In addition to the redesign of the X-Trail, Nissan has led to a bizarre 2010 Paris Motor Show concept car, with features (and spirit) somewhere between a minivan and a light commercial vehicle. This is the Townpod, in the event that the French celebrated its world premiere. The model, which does not have any kind of new technology-the same powertrain mounts 100% Electric Leaf-plays on its generous interior space and the study of innovative solutions for improving life in the car. The Townpod is compact but features a large interior volume, and thanks to the very low profile, sliding and folding rear seat, the rear-hinged rear doors and rear hatch divided into two sections, it offers excellent versatility.

The interior dominates the touch screen is twice the center of the dashboard, which is completely devoid of buttons, except for those on the wheel and on the satellites to the stem. The top screen has the function of the instrument panel and includes speedometer, battery level indicator, remaining range and navigator. The system also features Bluetooth technology. The display below instead collects commands to the browser and allows the user to perform system checks the entire vehicle, as well as manage the audio system of the prototype.
