Andy Rubin, one of the brains behind the creation of Windows 7 Phone, recently released PCMag interesting statements on Google’s mobile operating system Android, also speaking of the best features of the OS and heralding a little something about the Gingerbread.
What is the characteristic of Android that Rubin would you prefer? The marketing strategy, which is considered a winner. We’re talking about a platform that allows you to inspect, select and see how the code works from the first glance, a platform that leverages all provided good input from the community regarding the architecture and operation. One can only agree with Rubin’s strategy has rewarded the spread of the Android operating system, which addresses also inexperienced users. The notification manager Android is one of the many prides of Rubin: fully implemented, does not require reading or text alerts when we are engaged in other activities on the phone and is less intrusive than on other OS.
Speaking of the next version of Android, Rubin did not want to loosen over time, revealing details that sound very similar to what has been said to Android 2.1: more social, it’s always easier to manage and synchronize contacts with social networks and will new forms of social communication intergrate. Nothing terribly exciting then. According to the interviewee, we are currently in a phase of re-invention of casual gaming, then maybe a few more opening in Google Games will be there.
Rubin talks about gaming on mobile in comparison with the game on consoles like two things are not much different, except that the mobile game serves more as a pastime and as a commitment focused on the game itself. For future versions of Android, Google will watch the new features on the platform to support various forms of gaming.
