
Three years after the homonymous concept car, Saab has finally released pictures and technical details of the 9-4X SUV hostage to corporate policies – not counting delays and delays that have been victims – made in view of the impending sale. The Swedish manufacturer will make available the 9-4X in both North America and Europe with two petrol engines: a 3.0 naturally aspirated engine with direct injection delivers 270 bhp and 302 Nm and 2.8 with the most aggressive twin-scroll turbine of 305 hp and 400 Nm . Both units are controlled by a six-speed automatic transmission. The three-liter engine can also be combined with front-wheel drive, while the 2.8 setup is configured in only Aero with XWD – offer for the 3.0.
The Saab 9-4X 3.0 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (96 kph) in 7.9 seconds when the drive is front and 8.4 seconds in the presence of four-wheel drive, for an average consumption of – respectively – 11.7 and 12.4 l/100km l/100 km and a maximum speed of 210 km / h. The version with the 2.8 engine is more rapid in the shot (7.7 seconds), fastest (230 km / h) but also more thirsty (13 l/100km). In disseminating new images official also confirmed that the Saab 9-4X will go on sale in the United States in May and in Europe beginning in August.
