ITRI FlexUPD AMOLED

The display industry has seen a big step forward last week by presenting an innovative technology for the construction of AMOLED displays flassebili. Be careful, not bending for up to a certain point, but almost rolled up.Father of the discovery was the ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute), one of the world’s largest research based in Taiwan. The screen, called FlexUPD, makes use of 62 patents and provides for the use of two films: a common film of the LCD and another DBLU (black-light unit).

The FlexUPD has already received the prize “R & D 100 Award from R & D Magazine and the prize” Overall Gold Wall Street Journal Technology Innovation Award “
