
Nikon COOLPIX presented S8100, which adds camera family of compact digital series “S ” (Style) of yellow-black house. The illuminated CMOS sensor confirms a trend of the moment: in this case offers 12.1 megapixels and, as so often in compact area, use the format 1 / 2, 3 “. The machine then uses a stabilized 10x Nikkor zoom with focal 30-300mm equivalent. Based on the image sensor EXPEED C2 has the support SD / SDHC / SDXC and can record Full HD (1080p).
As often happens with the latest sensors, the camera can shoot bursts of photos to be combined later to obtain a single step: the example is that of the pictures in low light, where a series of shots with exposure times reduced is combined to avoid camera shake. It is included in the functions provided by the burst mode also HDR (High Dynamic Range) which combines multiple shots to extend the dynamic range reproducible.
The COOLPIX S8100 is available in two colors, red and black, with a suggested retail price of € 260.00. It offers amongst other features a large store of preset scenes and tracking autofocus function. While going ‘far’ in the field of telephoto, the camera angle in the field of duty is charged slightly more than the market: the CES 2011 brought us many good camera with a zoom range of focal lengths from 28mm equivalent, but also broad wide-angle lenses from 24mm.
