With the new Canon 600D Canon has also unveiled its entry-level lower-end, the Canon EOS 1100D. It is a model that uses a CMOS sensor with a 12-megapixel resolution, DIGIC IV and a 2.7-inch LCD screen. Compared to the 1000D gets a new focus with 9 points and the metering sensor iFCL already seen in the Canon 7D. This camera can record 720p HD video and will be sold in a kit with the new 18-55mm IS II or with the same model in non-stabilized version. Dpreview had a chance to try out a preview of a preproduction model.
