Acer TravelMate TimelineX 6495, 6595, 8473 and 8573

After having already known their debut for the European market, now the new Acer TravelMate professional notebooks TimelineX 6495, 6595, 8473 and 8573 also reach the North American market and will therefore soon be available in both the U.S. and Canada. These ultra-thin notebooks, with a thickness to 2.55 inch diagonal 14-inch models TimelineX TravelMate 8473 and 6495 and for 15.6-inch TravelMate 8573 and 6595 timeline.

The display, type ComfyView, is the same for all models. This is a panel with 16:9 aspect ratio and resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, LED backlight. The lines are simple and square, are typical of the family TravelMate, very suitable for working environments. The chassis is aluminum alloy and magnesium, to ensure maximum structural rigidity and high resistance to shocks and falls. Depending on the versions you can count on Intel’s dual core Sandy Bridge is that Core i7 i5, as in the case of TimelineX 8473 and 8573 models, equipped with Intel Core i5-2410M with a clock rate of 2.3/2.9 GHz or Intel Core i7-2620m with 2.7/3.4 GHz frequency

The RAM will be at 1333 MHz and DDR3 will reach a maximum of 8 GB, while hard disk storage are available with a cut up to 750 GB or alternatively, for models 8473 and 8573 TimelineX, SSD from 120 GB. Display will be used to drive the HD 3000 integrated graphics subsystem, Intel CPUs, but some models will optionally also a dedicated graphics card Nvidia GeForce 540M with 1 GB of onboard memory and equipped with the Nvidia Optimus, which allows to disable the dedicated card when not needed, so as to prolong battery life and thus the autonomy of use.

The equipment is completed by the presence of DVD burner, USB 3.0, multiformat card reader, Acer Crystal Eye webcam, digital video outputs HDMI and DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet and optional Bluetooth WiFi. In addition, all models will rely on the new Intel Widi (Wireless Display), which allows you to transmit video streams to an external display compatible, without the use of connecting cables. Finally we find a style keyboard Acer FineTip spill-resistant and PowerSmart battery type, able to guarantee 80% of their initial capacity after 1000 charging cycles.

Acer also states that these batteries can provide up to 8 hours of battery life. Among the technologies are dedicated to safety, Intel vPro, a package of hardware and software solutions for data encryption and intervention remote technical support, Intel Antitheft, which allows you to lock your laptop in case of theft, without loss of data and Acer DASP (Disk Anti-Shock Protection), a technology that allows you to completely isolate the hard disk so that it remains damaged by bumps or falls. The Acer TravelMate TimelineX 8573, 8473, 6595 and 6495 will cost in the base configuration, respectively, 799.99, 999.99, 999.99 and 1049.99 dollars.
