SUSE and Microsoft have renewed their agreement, extending it by a further four years. The new deadline is now set for 2016. Thanks to this agreement will be guaranteed the cooperation between the two companies to continue to maintain that bridge between the world of Windows and Linux which they received dozens of customers.
As stated by Sandy Gupta, general manager of Open Solutions Group of Microsoft:
Our partnership with SUSE not only helps customers achieve success today, but also seeks to provide them a solid foundation for tomorrow.
Microsoft considers this agreement as an opportunity to develop the cloud and virtualization technologies. The agreement also came just days before the 20 th anniversary of Linux, an event that Microsoft itself was celebrated with a video that mocks the ten competing with Windows.
