Kindle Touch 3G

The Kindle Touch has just been revealed, renewing the line of Amazon e-reader license plate bearing the touchscreen device on the U.S. giant. Of particular interest is the 3G edition that allows you to surf the Net, at least on paper, not to have a Wi-Fi. As reported by CNET, in fact, it seems that 3G browsing is limited to only a few portals.

The Kindle Touch 3G makes it possible to access the Kindle Store, download books and multimedia content and visit web pages using Wikipedia’s 3G connection, and any other external page requires a Wi-Fi. A limitation of this, it would not seem to have emerged during the official presentation of the device, but later confirmed by the giant of sales on the Net

There are currently no known reasons for this imposition, which could be justified by some of the constraints present in the agreements between carriers and the Amazon: the U.S. company could be forced to pay a fee for every kilobyte downloaded by users, so it may have decided to limit the scope of the same within the confines of their stores while also providing a passport to the online encyclopedia.

That situation, which seems to be in stark contrast with what happened earlier: the older models of Kindle 3G enable to surf the Web from anywhere, using the connection made ??available from Amazon by U.S. carriers.
